Busy Busy Week

I don’t remember the last time I was so busy. Have you ever felt like you are running in circles? That’s how my last two weeks have been going. Between running in circles at work and getting side tracked every time I turn around to trying to get a weeks worth of school done 56 hours early I’ll be lucky to get through this week unscathed. Is it Friday yet?

TGIF

It's been a long week. At times the short holiday work weeks turn into the longest weeks there are. It seems like I've been running in circles all week trying to get things done and actually getting nothing accomplished. Well it's finally over so I can chill out for the weekend.

So, what's in store for the weekend? Hmm. Well, next Wednesday we are having a birthday dinner here at home for a friend so I'm thinking a big portion of the weekend will be spent cleaning, cleaning, and more cleaning. Arrgggg! I hate housework, especially when all I want to do is take a weekend off and relax.

School is about over for this quarter. 1 more week and Project Management will be done. I guess I need to finish up my homework this weekend too. So far, so good. I will be glad when I actually begin my computer courses.

Sunday evening will be spent watching the first Dallas Cowboys game for the season. This will be the most exciting part of the weekend.

Top 2 Tuesday - Fall Favorites

Fall is just around the corner in many places and up here in the NW it's going to get here quickly. Fall is such a wonderful season up here with all the changing trees with beautiful colors and the crisp weather. There are so many things about fall it's difficult to narrow it down to just 2 but I'll figure it out.

1. Football Season

I'm an avid Dallas Cowboys fan and love to watch NFL football. It's fun to have company over, eat finger foods, drink a beer, watch a game, and hoop and holler for my team.

2. Holiday-time

Fall is the beginning of the holiday season. From Halloween to Thanksgiving, to Christmas. I've always enjoyed holiday anticipation and household decorations. I love Thanksgiving and all that goes into planning and cooking Thanksgiving dinner. Since the kids are no longer here, Thanksgiving has taken over my previous favorite holiday of Christmas.

New to the Blog world

Several months ago my daughter-in-law (DIL) Amanda suggested I start a blog so that we could keep up with going ons in life. I've been reading her blog since it's inception and today out of the blue decided to jump in with both feet.

A bit about myself and my family. I have 2 great sons, Gregg 23 and Craig 26, that I am very proud of. They have become fine young men. Both are military at this time. Being military is only a small portion of why I'm proud of them but for the large part is they are honorable, polite, well round gentlemen. Most of the time anyway.

I have two special DIL's, Amanda and Denna, that I love and want to develop and maintain a great relationship with. Amanda, Gregg's wife, is such a treasure. Without her I don't know how I would have made it through Gregg being deployed both times. She is the best thing that ever happened to him and she is the side that grounds him. Denna, Craig's wife, I'm just getting to know and can say that I already love her. I already see a difference in Craig's demeanor from boy to man.

Paul and I have been married a very long time. I love him dearly and will grow old with him. We recently, 4 years ago, moved from Memphis, to Washington and I haven't regretted it.  This is an absolutely beautiful place to live and it really doesn't rain as much as people tend to think that it does.

Till later. :-)
